Beauty of Internet Explorer 9 RC #IE9 #HTML5

Ie9

IE9 Release Candidate went live yesterday. You can download it at http://www.beautyoftheweb.com/ I did!

@PBJS, where I work, produced the partner video for the launch. So far I've had a few issues with some online forms, but overall it seems pretty solid. The most beautiful thing in my world is that with the launch of IE9, we finally have a version of IE that supports HTML5. That means I can finally start selling HTML5 solutions for my clients!

Designing your website for mobile shouldn't be an afterthought.

Yeah, this is for real. If you're making a website and your demographic is teen-tweens, you should be designing for mobile FIRST.

Right in my backyard! Microsoft PDC10 | October 28 and 29

2 Days in Redmond: Developers. Developers. Developers.

Can't Attend? Watch it Live

We'll certainly miss you, but if you can't attend you can still join in on the excitement via the live stream. This year's groundbreaking event will include live streaming of the keynotes, as well as concurrent live streaming of sessions.

I'm much more of a designer than a developer in my current role at PBJS. However, one of my jobs is to determine the right technology for our client's projects. For that reason I'm also very interested in the conferences where the next generation technologies are announced. PDC happens to be one of those.

I'm excited that it is taking place in my back yard this year. My biggest question is if I want to attend in person or just set aside time and watch it all live from the office. It's a tough choice with so many conferences coming up next year. I'm on the fence at the moment, but no matter what I choose I'll have a keen eye and ear on October 28th and 29th.
